The key thing here is that even if I don’t have any bags set for trade goods, equipment, or consumables, and have no bags ignored, the game will only put the hearthstones(and some other stuff) in the backpack on SOME characters, but not all. But on my Horde mage, sorting puts the hearthstones in the backpack like it should. This is regardless of what kind of bag it is. If I add even one bag, though, it will put my hearthstones(and some other stuff) in the new bag, and not the backpack. Of course it can only “put” them in the backpack like this, but if they are out of order, it at least sorts them in the backpack. On my ally priest, auto-sorting will only put my hearthstones in my backpack if I have no other bags equipped. When Bagnon wasn’t working recently, I was messing with the default bags. I always thought this was strange, as I have no bags ignored. But on other characters, it would be fine. But on some characters I would have to reverse the bag order to have my hearthstones(and some other stuff) at the top of the frame. I normally use Bagnon to have all of my bags in one frame. I have had trouble with bag sorting for a long time.
